graco contempo high chair: March 2013

I just got in my Graco Contempo highchair and I already use it more than any other one item. This is a wonderful highchair. I had a different brand with my first child and I wasn't very happy with it. It was bulky and hard to use properly. This if defiantly a product I would recommend to anyone with a new baby. It's also a wonderful gift for a baby shower and the price is better than those of some of the other leading brands.

The Graco Contempo highchair has several models to choose from. Mine is a Rittenhouse and it is simply lovely. It is a little heavier than I would have liked at 20 pounds but some highchairs weigh a lot more. This is a good and sturdy chair and can hold a child up to 40 pounds. The weight doesn't come from bulk, just good solid materials.

A good friend of mine uses the Avalon model of the Graco Contempo highchair and she loves hers as well. She got hers after seeing mine and while it's a little different it's still very nice. Hers has 3 point and five point harnesses but I like the 5 point better because it helps me feel my child is safer. Hers also has a cloth seat pad which is machine washable.

I love how easy these are to clean up. Mine doesn't have the cloth seat so you can just use a wet cloth to wipe everything down and let it air dry. The trays are dishwasher safe but the wet cloth is usually sufficient for them as well.

Best of all there was no assembly required and was ready to go right out of the box. That was a very nice plus for me because I hate putting things together like this. It also folds almost flat for easy storage and I can put it right between my refrigerator and the wall.

This chair is also completely adjustable for all of your needs. The seat reclines as well for younger children and there is a smaller tray under the big one. This comes with tons of features and is extremely easy to use.
